Closing the Year

The best way to start a new year with high momentum is to end the current year in the same way. Here are four ways to carry a positive drive into 2021:

  • Close the smaller deals: Closing several smaller transactions for your business might be easier than focusing on closing “the big one.” Turn attention on the smaller clients or projects before year-end, and then focus on the bigger transaction in the new year. Smaller deals require less work and can make your business more productive.

  • Get in Touch: Maintaining new and old relationships is important to build a healthy community of clients. Make sure to keep in touch with all clients, especially old and existing clients. Existing clients can help your business pipeline by offering referrals or positive online reviews.

  • Content Marketing: Pay close attention to the content on your website and social media. Quality content is important to increase engagement from current and new customers. Consistency and quality are two big factors in building an online community, which in turn continues to help build your company’s rapport with clients. End the year by putting more attention on your online marketing content.

  • Do Evaluations: Complete 360 reviews with your employees before the new year to keep everyone accountable and on track. Make sure to review what went well and what did not go as expected. If there were losses to your team this year review the potential weaknesses caused from those losses. Acknowledging this will help you plan for better results in the coming year.
